Governance Structure

Caritas Nigeria has a Board of Trustees (BOT) which are the legal owners, and who bear all legal responsibilities for the organization. The Trustees appointed a Board of Directors who perform oversight functions over the organization.

CCFN Board of Directors serve for a period of 5 years and a maximum of 2 terms while members who are appointed by virtue of their office (ex-officio), continue to serve on the Board for as long as they are in office.

The day to day running of Caritas Nigeria is by an Executive Secretary who is the Chief Executive Officer. The ES/CEO is also Director of Church and Society at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, and the National Secretary of Justice and Peace. He is the Secretary of the Board of Directors.
