In conjunction with the Abia State Agency for the Control of AIDS (ABSACA) and CRS Nigeria, marked World AIDS Day with awareness campaigns, a road walk, and HIV testing services for the public.
The sensitization efforts were a key component of the event, fostering a better understanding of the global HIV pandemic and addressing prevalent myths and misconceptions. The road walk not only symbolized unity in the fight against the epidemic but also served as a visible demonstration of the pivotal role of communities in mitigating the spread of HIV and eradicating stigma.
By providing accessible HIV testing services, the partners promoted early detection of the virus and the importance of regular testing for everyone, with the overall aim of improving health outcomes in Abia State.
 
We partner with The U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and CDC through U.S. CDC Nigeria to eliminate HIV in Nigeria.
